Our story

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had a deep passion for the water. Whether it was standing on the docks of Avalon and Wildwood New Jersey with my dad & brothers, hopping on a small skiff to hit the back bays, or joining friends for offshore trips along the East Coast — fishing has always been a part of who I am. From the Delaware Bay to the Atlantic, the Florida Keys to Madeira Beach on Florida’s Gulf Coast, there’s always been something about the salt air, the sound of the reel, and the calm of the tide that pulls me in.

As life went on, I found myself fishing less. Between raising three amazing kids and building a life with my beautiful wife, time on the water became rare. But now that my children are getting older, I’ve come full circle — I get to share the same experiences with them that shaped me when I was young.

That’s what inspired SideHook Fishing Apparel — a brand built from a lifelong passion for the water, family, and the memories made in between. SideHook represents more than just clothing; it’s about legacy, lifestyle, and the spirit of adventure that drives every cast.

Our goal is simple: to create quality fishing apparel and accessories that celebrate the saltwater lifestyle — from the back bays to the open ocean. In time, we’ll expand into custom accessories and lure designs that carry the same craftsmanship and authenticity that started it all.

We made the move to Florida chasing new opportunities and a better life for our family — leaving behind business, family, and friends to start fresh. SideHook is the first step toward building something lasting — something my children can look at one day and proudly say, “My father built this from the ground up.”

From catching snook and redfish in the mangroves to throwing poppers offshore in pursuit of big game, remember — as long as your line’s wet and your heart’s in it, life is great.
